Anna Goddard
Trainee Solicitor
Multilingual Anna joined Travlaw in November 2009 as a paralegal and then gained her training contract with the firm just before Christmas and is currently focusing mainly on booking conditions and personal injury work.
When asked about why she wanted to train at Travlaw, Anna said: “Travlaw is unique because we are trained to nurture all our clients so that we understand their needs. We look after them properly”
With prior experience of corporate law and litigation with some of the bigger Leeds-based firms such as Walker Morris, Anna is enjoying working in such a close-knit team and is excited at the prospect of getting stuck into advocacy.
Career highlight to date? “Getting the training contract here. Especially with the economy as it is.”
Favourite holiday? “Cruising around the Caribbean. I’ve done it three times and each was as good as the next. You don’t have any responsibility, you just get dropped off at places. Antigua was the best island - the sea is so clear. Incredible.”
Anywhere you’re longing to go? “I would love to go to China and Thailand. They are so different from anything I have ever experienced.”
Best piece of law advice? “Take advice when you think you may need it. Don’t take any chances.” |
