Rivka has worked with Stephen for more years that she cares to remember and together they set up what is now Travlaw in 2003. Her whole professional career has been dedicated to travel law and was rewarded by being made a partner in Travlaw in July 2009.

She sees herself as more of an office-based partner and enjoys helping to guide some of the younger members of staff as well as defending personal injury claims, drafting commercial contracts and booking conditions and giving employment advice.

Rivka is proud to be 100 per cent committed to the firm and is dedicated to seeing it expand and develop without losing its individuality and “professional yet approachable” ethos.

When asked why the firm stands out from the crowd, Riv answered: “The people that work here are at the heart of it. If we weren’t such hard working professionals, who didn’t have such solid relationships both with each other as well as with clients and business partners, I don’t think we’d be the firm we are today.”

Career highlight to date? “When the rules governing Solicitors and partnerships changed I became a partner in Travlaw and I think I was probably one of the first in the country to be a non-lawyer member so that’s a major highlight and achievement.”

Favourite holiday? “I love Rome and would go back there tomorrow to revisit places I’ve been but then there is still so much I haven’t seen. It has everything - the cultural side, the city, the landscape and a bit of a beach holiday as well.

Anywhere you’re longing to go? “Top of the list is Australia as my husband has family there. But really the sky is the limit.”

Best piece of law advice? “Use great lawyers!.”
