The annual Travlaw Big Tent Event took place on Thursday 28th January – online for the first time.
The Travlaw Big Tent Event has been growing in size and stature since the inaugural event in 2009 and is now firmly established in the travel industry calendar.
The first event took place in the back room of a bar in 2009 in front of just 50 people, and has year on year grown into one of Travlaw’s flagship events, now attracting nearly 200 industry professionals to hear high quality guest speakers and insight from our top ranked team.
Held every year in January, the event attracts the great and the good of the travel industry, as well as those offering support services to the travel sector, in a unique evening event where in normal times serious business, networking and socialising go hand-in-hand.
However these are anything but normal times. So this year the event moved online – but maintained the same blend of insight and expert opinion as before. Hosted by our own Associate Krystene Bousfield, there were updates from;
- Rivka Hawley, Managing Partner
- Ami Naru, Partner and Head of Employment
- Nick Parkinson, Associate
- Emma Shakespeare, Senior Associate
- Stephen Mason, Senior Counsel
as well as our excellent panel;
- Paul Charles from The PC Agency
- Jessica Dennison from Latin Routes, and
- Mark Tanzer of ABTA
They discussed and debated the most pressing issues facing the travel industry in these extraordinary times, as well as answering questions from those in (virtual) attendance.
