Here at Travlaw we appreciate that litigation is often a dreaded experience. We endeavour to make the whole process as painless as possible.

How can we help you? Our service is tailored to your needs. With our unrivalled experience (see below) we can offer a range of input, to suit you. Here are a few examples:

• If you have a small claim, we can of course conduct the whole claim process for you through to trial, including doing the defence, witness evidence and the final hearing; equally, if you prefer, you can do all the preparation and we will conduct the final hearing for you at a fixed fee.
• Much the same can apply to all claims which will proceed in the fast track – although we must say that many clients feel it’s safest to have our involvement throughout. Its up to you – we will happily conduct the trial again for a fixed fee if this is what you prefer. In a recent case, our clients had done their own defence, concentrating on the issue of whether or not they has sold a “Package”; when instructed we identified that this was a losing argument, but that a good defence was available on “local standards”. We amended the defence, fought the case to trial and won, recovering our costs – a pain free result for a client who had been very anxious about the whole thing.
• Many of the claims we handle are major claims involving large sums of money, and sometimes multiple claimants or defendants. These cases not only involve trying to fight off the claim, but also concentrating on the issue of recovery from the supplier or his insurers. In a recent case we travelled to Italy, held meetings with the supplier, his lawyer and his insurers, and gathered the best targeted evidence and witness statements to maximise the prospects of winning the case.

• We handle the vast majority of cases without the expense of instructing counsel, but, if counsel is essential, we will recommend and instruct the best.
