Gemma joined Travlaw in September 2019 after qualifying as a solicitor in May 2019. Gemma studied English Literature at the University of Sheffield before gaining her GDL, LPC and Masters in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Law in Leeds. Gemma trained at a specialist intellectual property firm focusing on non-contentious work for a range of businesses, including owner-managed businesses, SMEs and high-turnover commercial clients.
Gemma has particular experience in drafting commercial contracts, including Terms and Conditions (business to business and business to consumer), agency agreements, collaboration agreements, co-existence agreements, settlement agreements and licence agreements, to name just a few. Gemma also has experience in GDPR work, having drafted numerous privacy policies, provided advice to clients on GDPR compliance and advised on responses to data subject requests.
