Justin is a young professional, starting his legal career at 24 years old. Having consistently excelled academically, he decided to move from Romania to the United Kingdom, in the pursuit of an education in law. He went on to complete the required academic education, in accordance with the SRA’s admission requirements, with his marks being among the highest in his cohort.

He developed a strong interest in understanding how businesses operate within a legal framework and how legal advice supports commercial decision-making. He is keen to develop a thorough understanding of how legal matters are managed from instruction through to resolution. In addition to his knowledge of the law, he brings with him the tech skills which are quickly becoming increasingly relevant today, both from a legal and from a commercial perspective.

My favourite place

Romania – Because first and foremost, it’s where I grew up and from where a lot of my identity comes from. And because of the experiences I lived there, such as going on holiday constantly to the seaside in Constanța, going hiking and camping in Harghita (in the Carpathian Mountains), or visiting the many historical cities such as Alba Iulia, Sibiu, Sighișoara and witnessing the distinct art noveau style of the buildings.

Plus, Romania can be taken to be three separate entities, each having been influenced differently: Wallachia (the south) has been influenced by the Ottoman Empire, Bulgaria, Serbia and Greece (Byzantium before it), Transylvania (the east) has been influenced by the Austro-Hungarian Empire (and therefore central Europe), and Moldova (the East) has been influenced by the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Russian Empire.

The food itself is also on a different level – with traditional meals such as sarmale, mititei, ciorba, etc because of the low number of additives used
